Inspiring change for a brighter future

Working in Partnership

Local organisations and agencies that work with children and families play a significant role when it comes to safeguarding children.  To achieve the best possible outcomes, children and families should receive targeted services that meet their needs in a co-ordinated way.  There is a shared responsibility between organisations and agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in a local area.

The Rowans work closely with partner agencies to safeguard children, including:

  • Medway’s social care
  • Health services including school nurses, vaccination services, GPs, dentists, specific clinics
  • NELFT
  • Educational psychologist services
  • Attendance Advisory Services
  • Local police force, including Medway’s task force
  • Violence Reduction Unit

Strong, effective multi-agency arrangements are responsive to local contextual circumstances and engage the right people. The Rowans staff work in the best interests of the child, working in collaboration with agencies, organisations and statutory services to provide targeted support to children and families as appropriate.   The Rowans work as part of Medway’s Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (https://www.medwayscp.org.uk/mscb/)
