Pupils at The Rowans were celebrating outstanding results this week with many achieving and exceeding their targets.

10% of pupils attained five A*-C grades including English and maths, 65% of pupils got 5 A*-G, with 100% achieving 1 A*-G. These results are crucial in enabling the pupils to progress onto college or apprenticeships.
Caron Johnson, Head Teacher of The Rowans, said: "The Rowans is a pupil referral unit in Medway that takes pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools. With the support of dedicated staff, our pupils have attained results that they may not have achieved in a mainstream environment, enhancing their life chances for the future. We are hugely proud of all their achievements and wish them well for their futures."

Results at The Rowans have significantly improved in the last few years, where in 2011 only 16% achieved 5 A*-G grades compared to this year’s 65%. This amazing success is due to the hard work and dedication of all the staff combined with the immense effort and commitment of all the pupils.
Arran Warren has proved to be our most successful pupil ever at The Rowans achieving a massive 15 qualifications. These include; 4 C grade GCSEs (including English and maths) and 7 BTECs all at pass or merit. Well done Arran!
